Old Country Roses

When Denise arrived in my studio, she clutched a tea-cup in her hands, This is want I want for my wedding!” she said. I giggled because I knew exactly what that was, the old country roses pattern, from Royal Albert fine china. The Royal Albert factory was not too far from where I grew up. It was opened in 1896 and named after Prince Albert, son of Queen Victoria, later he became George VI, Father of the Queen Elizabeth.

I knew the pattern well as that is my mum’s “best china”. It reminds me of every celebration in my house, and is very dear to my heart. Denise and I worked together to bring it to life, I love what we created! So much of me and my heart went into it, this has to be one of my favorite weddings ever!

Spring Wedding

I was just browsing past weddings and came across a beautiful spring wedding. It was such a lovely spring day, the sun was shining and the birds singing. I love that Melanie chose white and spring green as her color scheme. It was so fresh looking and definitely felt “springy”. The stunning images were taken by Ross Bothwell, he did such an amazing job capturing our beautiful couple, I had to share!

Memories

I was attending a bridal show and was browsing the tables of my friends who were also there.  While chatting to my friend Dave Russell, an awesome photographer, a spectacular coffee table book caught my eye. Then it dawned on me, I know that Bride, oh my gosh those are my flowers! The memories flooded back. I loved working with Karin, the soft, subtle shades she selected fit her personality so well and created such a peaceful ambiance at Arrowhead. Such a beautiful day!

Dee and Ivan

I had the pleasure of helping Dee and Ivan bring their vision to life. The Bride was stunning and their day could not have been more spectacular! On such a cold day, the memory of their wedding warms me from the inside!
