Old Country Roses

When Denise arrived in my studio, she clutched a tea-cup in her hands, This is want I want for my wedding!” she said. I giggled because I knew exactly what that was, the old country roses pattern, from Royal Albert fine china. The Royal Albert factory was not too far from where I grew up. It was opened in 1896 and named after Prince Albert, son of Queen Victoria, later he became George VI, Father of the Queen Elizabeth.

I knew the pattern well as that is my mum’s “best china”. It reminds me of every celebration in my house, and is very dear to my heart. Denise and I worked together to bring it to life, I love what we created! So much of me and my heart went into it, this has to be one of my favorite weddings ever!
